Job Summary

This role is essential to ensuring vessels receive the correct spares and consumables at the right place time and cost to support safe reliable and uninterrupted operations.
It requires proven commercial and technical experience in the maritime industry particularly supporting oil and gas tanker vessels through purchasing sourcing logistics coordination and customs clearance.
The position is highly handson and fast paced with logistics at its core as vessels operate globally and delivery windows at ports are often narrow and subject to change.
Success in this role depends on flexibility sound judgment and the ability to respond quickly to urgent operational needs including work outside standard business hours when required.
Strong communication skills are critical to prioritizing highimpact work operating effectively in a dynamic global environment and ensuring alignment as vessel schedules shift.
Equally important is the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including vessel leadership shoreside engineering and superintendent teams freight forwarders port agents and suppliers.
The role also includes managing spares in transit overseeing inventory at storage yards and forwarder warehouses supporting accounts payable activities contributing to supplier relationship management and ensuring compliance with category strategies contracts and OEM/OEMS requirements. Familiarity with marine equipment shipyard or drydock operations and industry purchasing tools further enhances effectiveness in this role.
Required Qualifications
Operational Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights or weekends to respond to urgent vessel requirements.
Communication & Execution Skills:
Strong ability to communicate clearly and persuasively prioritize highimpact work and operate effectively in a fastpaced global environment.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Proven experience building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders including vessel leadership shoreside superintendents port agents freight forwarders and suppliers with the ability to align all parties toward successful outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical & Equipment Knowledge:
Working knowledge of marine vessel equipment shipyard and drydock operations.
Industry Tools & Systems:
Experience with technical purchasing tools and systems used in maritime or ship management environments.
