About the Role

We are hiring a Cloud Engineer for one of our clients in the health industry to design implement and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on engineering cloud architecture and operational support with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure scalability strengthen security posture and drive automation across a globally distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design deploy and manage scalable Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS) infrastructure
Administer and optimize Azure AD (Entra ID) including SSO MFA and Conditional Access
Manage and enhance Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online Teams SharePoint OneDrive)
Develop and implement automation using PowerShell ARM templates and/or Terraform
Monitor system performance usage and cloud spend; implement cost optimization strategies
Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams on VPNs hybrid connectivity and cloud networking
Integrate and support enterprise security tools such as Zscaler Proofpoint and endpoint protection platforms
Ensure high availability backup and disaster recovery processes are in place and maintained

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in cloud engineering and/or systems engineering
Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS)
- Azure AD / Entra ID
- Microsoft 365 administration
Proven experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises cloud)
Solid understanding of:
- Networking fundamentals (DNS VPNs firewalls)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Experience with Intune and endpoint management solutions
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305
Experience working in enterprise or global IT environments
Exposure to cloud security and compliance frameworks
