Senior Corporate Counsel
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the General Counsel the Senior Corporate Counsel will play a highly visible and strategic role in shaping the legal contractual and compliance infrastructure of a fast-growing mission-driven medical device organization.
This is a broad and impactful position where you will lead complex contracting initiatives advise cross-functional teams on a wide range of legal matters and contribute to key business decisions. You will operate as a trusted advisor across the organization balancing legal risk with commercial objectives in a dynamic highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Contracting
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of complex agreements including services consulting manufacturing supply chain confidentiality and clinical trial contracts
- Drive improvements in legal processes including the development and refinement of contract templates
- Serve as a key escalation point for contract-related matters providing clear and practical legal guidance
- Partner closely with business teams to develop commercially sound agreements aligned with strategic goals
- Prepare contract summaries memoranda and revisions outlining key obligations and risks
- Provide post-execution support including contract interpretation compliance and enforcement guidance
- Identify and escalate critical contractual risks when appropriate
Materials Review
- Review promotional and non-promotional materials (marketing scientific exchange digital content and educational materials) for compliance with applicable regulations
- Collaborate with regulatory clinical and cross-functional teams to provide clear actionable legal guidance
- Proactively address stakeholder inquiries and identify potential legal risks in communications
Compliance
- Identify gaps and opportunities to strengthen corporate policies SOPs and compliance frameworks
- Support the development and maintenance of compliance programs and documentation
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on medical device regulations and emerging legal trends
- Advise on general corporate transactional and operational legal matters
- Manage external counsel efficiently to balance quality and cost
- Support pre-litigation and litigation activities as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and strategic initiatives across the organization
Key Qualifications:
- J.D. with active admission to at least one U.S. state bar in good standing
- 8 years of legal experience preferably in-house with exposure to medical device or healthcare industries
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including FDA FTC FCPA fraud and abuse laws false claims HIPAA GDPR and healthcare marketing regulations
- Proven ability to independently draft review and negotiate complex agreements
