The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for planning organizing and coordinating Operations Accounting assignments and play an active role in monitoring activity across Division Support Teams and in support of the Controller Operations Accounting.
This role will oversee the monitoring of accounts receivable and other balance sheet accounts across divisions; accumulation of data for monthly and quarterly reporting including variance analysis; reconciliations and ad hoc analysis; coordinate accounting projects; participation in budgeting planning and forecasting activities; participation in acquisition and divestiture activities and due diligence; participation in system enhancement; and other tasks as addition this individual will assist in the review of contracts and the determination of financial impact.
This position will entail developing a well-rounded knowledge of the Companys operations cost accounting and COPAS accounting guidelines with particular emphasis on coordination among Division Support Teams and other Headquarters disciplines on all facets of Operations Accounting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA eligible
- 8-10 years upstream exploration & production accounting work experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- Ability to work independently in a lead supervisory role and to communicate/interact across the Division with operational managers and accounting personnel.
- Aptitude to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and improved efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing and heavily active organization.
- Self-motivated with proven leadership skills team player comfortable working under pressure and dedicated to team development.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
