Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics
Location:NYC NY 10037
Schedule: 3 x 11.5-hour shifts (34.5 hours per week) / 13 Weeks

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills experience in Med/Surg or rehabilitation and the ability to deliver compassionate patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide direct bedside care to pediatric patients including pre- and post-operative care.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion catheterization and dressing changes.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment and document patient progress.
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Adhere to nursing standards protocols and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Rehabilitation experience in a large acute care hospital.
- Strong expertise in physical assessment medication administration and wound care.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and IV therapy.
- Experience in post-operative care and telemetry monitoring.
- Excellent patient care education and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
Certifications & Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License New York State (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
