Salary Range: $90000 up to $110000 (Commensurate with experience)
Our Santa Monica Hand Therapy location is looking for a dynamic outpatient occupational therapist that has experience with treating a hand/elbow case load and a desire to study for the CHT exam if not already certified. You will have the opportunity to work directly alongside a CHT in this Hand Specialty clinic. We offer a highly successful mentorship program for obtaining your CHT certification. You will be paired with a CHT mentor and will have access to such resources as an UE Journal Club and CHT Study Group. Already a CHT Our hand therapists have free access to the Journals of Hand Therapy and Hand Surgery as well as many others. Select Medicals Continuing Education Department is second-to-none and hosts an annual UE Symposium in addition to live courses virtual Master Classes and recorded instructional videos to suit every learning style. Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
- High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB clinician expertise patient perception).
- Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
- Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
- CPR certification
- Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
