Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support patient care in a Medical-Surgical and/or Emergency Department setting. The nurse will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians to deliver high-quality patient care in an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting with minimal supervision
- Assist with patient assessments including measuring and recording vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during exams and treatments
- Administer injections and support clinical procedures
- Observe document and report patient responses to treatments
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness
- Perform routine clinical and administrative duties including scheduling chart preparation and documentation
- Coordinate with insurance providers for authorizations and referrals
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
- Participate in nursing unit activities and support overall patient care plans
Required Qualifications:
- Current State License as an LPN/LVN
- CPR Certification (or ability to obtain/renew)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an inpatient or hospital setting
- Experience working in Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department units
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
