Role Overview

The Journalist / Editor is responsible for producing high-quality editorial content for Newspaper platforms across print digital and multimedia channels. The role includes news reporting content editing and contributing to editorial planning aligned with company media strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Research write and edit news articles features and reports in Arabic or English.
Cover government announcements economic developments community news and national events.
Conduct interviews with officials industry leaders and community representatives.
Ensure all content complies with editorial standards and media regulations in Oman.
Edit and proofread content before publication.
Coordinate with design video and social media teams for multimedia storytelling.
Attend press conferences events and field reporting assignments.
Monitor news trends and propose story ideas relevant to Oman and regional developments.
Contribute to digital platforms website updates and social media content

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Journalism Media Communications or related field.
Strong writing and editing skills in Arabic or English (bilingual preferred).
Knowledge of Omani media landscape and government protocols.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
