Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED)
Location:Utica NY
Shift: Night Shift 12 Hours (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills across a diverse patient population including pediatrics and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Manage critical conditions including stroke sepsis trauma cardiac arrest and respiratory failure
- Administer medications IV therapies and emergency interventions
- Operate specialized emergency equipment (e.g. rapid infusor systems temperature management devices)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely and effective care
- Document patient care using electronic medical records
- Float to other units as required
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Pediatric experience required
- Travel experience required
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- NIHSS Certification
- TNCC (must be in hand)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Charge Nurse experience or leadership capability
- Experience in high-volume high-acuity ED settings
