Job Summary
We are seeking Computer Programmer III to support the Maritime Command and Control (MCCOG) program in. The selected candidate will provide advanced software development system integration and technical support for mission-critical Navy systems. This role involves designing developing testing and maintaining software applications while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and system performance requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Design develop test and maintain software applications supporting MCCOG systems and mission requirements.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Develop and integrate software solutions across multiple platforms and environments.
- Perform debugging troubleshooting and performance optimization of applications.
- Support system integration testing and deployment activities.
- Ensure software compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards including STIG and RMF requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineers network engineers and cybersecurity personnel to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
- Maintain documentation including system design documents test plans and user guides.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for system enhancements and modernization efforts.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering Information Technology or related STEM field
- 5 years of professional experience in software development or programming
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java C Python or C#
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience working in DoD or federal IT environments
- Experience supporting Navy or NAVSEA programs
- Familiarity with RMF cybersecurity compliance and secure coding practices
- Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines or cloud-based development environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
