Human Castle Recruiting is supporting an international capital equipment manufacturer in the acquisition of a Product Procurement Engineerin Northern Buffalo. This is a direct-hire role with full benefits including two yearly bonuses. The Product Procurement Engineersupports the Purchasing Department by managing the procurement of engineered components in a capital equipment manufacturing environment. The hired incumbent is responsible for:
- Participate in project teams with coordination between designers and suppliers
- Apply Engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with drawings specs and codes
- Manage overall cost of projects and ensure on-time delivery of components
- Secure quotes and place purchase orders
- Maintain orders schedules and shortage reports
- Support production requirements
- Monitor supplier performance
- Manage NCRs including corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and support cost reduction & negotiations
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant field
- 3 years of experience working in a capital equipment environment
- 3 years of experience working with an ERP or MSRP or SAP system
Preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with PED ASME and other industry codes
- Experience delivering Executive Level Presentations
- Proven track record of strong negotiation skills in an Engineering environment
