Job Summary

Hunton Trane a division of the Hunton Group is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to support our growing Industrial EPC project portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring accurate timely and compliant document flow across engineering procurement and field construction teams. The ideal candidate has experience supporting technical projects in construction HVAC or industrial environments and thrives in a fast-paced high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain EPC document control systems processes and workflows across multiple projects.
  • Track and control document revisions ensuring teams are working from most of the current versions.
  • Distribute drawings submittals transmittals RFIs and other project documentation to internal teams vendors and clients in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering project management procurement and field teams to ensure document accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized document registers logs and reporting tools to track deliverables and project status.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards client requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform periodic audits of document control processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support project closeout activities including preparation of O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals and as-built documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive project and client information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 36 years of document control experience preferably within EPC construction HVAC or industrial environments
  • Proven experience managing high-volume technical documentation (drawings submittals transmittals RFIs and specifications)
  • Ability to read and interpret revisions and versioning in technical documents and drawings
  • Proficiency with document management systems such as Oracle Primavera Procore SharePoint Aconex or similar EDMS platforms
  • Strong understanding of EPC document control processes including versioning and lifecycle management
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage documentation across multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
