WHAT YOUR DAY AS A PLUMBING SERVICE ESTIMATOR LOOKS LIKE
Heres the kind of work youll be excited to dive into:
- Evaluate plumbing projects and prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals
- Analyze blueprints project plans and specifications to develop detailed estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess scope conditions and feasibility
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Prepare and submit professional proposals for residential and commercial jobs
- Support sales and operations by identifying scope estimating costs and shaping bid strategies
- Stay current on plumbing codes cost trends and industry standards
- Evaluate bid opportunities and suggest cost-effective solutions or alternatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients vendors and internal teams
- Maintain organized records of all estimates and associated documentation
WHEN YOULL WORK AS A PLUMBING SERVICE ESTIMATOR
This full-time project estimating role works Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR IN A PLUMBING SERVICE ESTIMATOR
Wed love to hear from you if you:
- High school diploma or GED
- 35 years of experience in plumbing estimating construction or a related field
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems installation methods and applicable codes
- Proficiency in estimating software (i.e. Housecall Pro) and Google Workspace
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines
Bonus:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field
