Location: Thornton CO 80241
Duration: 8 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Day Shift 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 AM 03:30 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and organized Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support elementary school students across multiple school sites. This role involves working collaboratively with school teams to help students develop essential motor sensory and functional skills in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary school students
- Implement individualized therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Collaborate with teachers parents and school staff to support student development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
- Support classroom participation and functional skill development
- Assist in planning and adapting therapy sessions across multiple school locations
- Participate in team meetings and effectively communicate student needs
Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Colorado
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Ability to manage a multi-site caseload efficiently
- Strong organizational communication and time-management skills
- Knowledge of school-based occupational therapy practices
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
