Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
ABM a leading provider of integrated facility solutions is looking for a Certified Engineer.
The Certified Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair basic carpentry and metal work operating maintaining and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Certified Engineer will also respond to customer requests and submit and close work orders as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Pay:$54.76/ hourly
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicantsexperience skills abilities geographic locationand alignment with market data.
Shift:Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operatemaintainandrepairallboilers heaterspumpsvalvesappurtenancesandlines used in thedistributionofsteamand heated orprocessed water.
Operate maintain and repair refrigerant compressors condensers evaporators traps transferpumpsexpansionvalvesstopvalvesandfloatvalvestogetherwithall refrigerant linesand devices used to control temperature.
Operate maintain and repair pumps handling brines or other secondary refrigerating liquidstogetherwith all valvesappurtenances and linesused in thesystem.
Operatemaintainandrepairaircompressorstogetherwithdistributionlinesandallvalves and devices foraircontrol.
Operatemaintainandrepairallnaturalandmanufacturedgasdistributionlinesincluding all valves and control devices.
Operatemaintainandrepairwaterfilterssoftenerspipingandpumpsusedinconjunction with waterdistributionincludingall sinkstoiletbowlssupply linesdrains and waterlines.
Operatemaintainandrepairalltypesofelectricalmotorsandenginesusedtopower pumpscompressorsand fans.
Operatemaintainandrepairoffueloilsystemsincludingpumpsvalveslinescontrolsand fuel tanks.
Operatemaintainandrepairsanitarysewersystemsincludingsumppumpsbasiswater closetsurinalsand piping.
Maintain and repairtrashcompactorsincludingelectrical and hydraulicsystems.
Maintain and repair kitchen equipment.
Maintainelectricalpowerdistributionandauxiliariesforthebuildingslightingmechanical plumbingand control componentsincludinglightingmaintenance.
Maintainproperoperationduringseasonalchangesandrecalibratecontrolsbasedupon seasonal conditions to assure energyefficientoperation.
Maintain all equipment as required per the Preventive Maintenance Program.
The PreventiveMaintenanceprogramwillbescheduledtomeet the manufacturers required services specifications.
Life/Safetyandsecuritysystems-Equipment maintenanceapplicableinEngineersscope will beincluded.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Formal knowledge of HVAC Components (VAVs Air-Handlers Pumps unit ventilators etc.)
Experience that is commensurate with the specific facility for the position of Certified Engineer
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
As required highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC plus universal level refrigerant recovery license
Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required.
EPA 608 Certified (preferred)
ENGINEER: By passing the standardized certification examination an
Engineer demonstrates their superior knowledge of certain aspects of the trade. The job duties performed by the Certified Engineer in a safe and efficient manner are the same as those performed by the Non-Certified Engineer as those are set forth in Section G.
-CERTIFIED ENGINEER: In a safe and efficient manner operates and maintains
boilers compressors refrigeration equipment generators air-conditioning facilities and all appurtenant equipment driven by steam air diesel gas water or any other power-developing energy. Patrols inspects and maintains all mechanical HVAC electrical piping and plumbing systems and equipment to the end that the most economical and efficient results may be obtained. May effect repairs on toilet facilities registers radiators lights fixtures minor repairs on furniture and floors provided that while standing a watch on a high-pressure boiler installation they are not required to violate any State County or City Ordinances Codes or Laws.
