Job Summary
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager the Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales strategic account management and effective leadership of the sales function with a key contribution to the hotel strategy. With a core focus on expanding market share and building long-lasting client relationships this role ensures strong performance across negotiated accounts group business and in-house marketing & commercial initiatives.
This position requires a highly motivated organised and communicative leader who excels at both independent work and inspiring high performance in others.
TASKS/ MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Drive proactive sales across corporate and group segments to grow revenue and market share
- Identify target and secure new business opportunities aligned with the hotels strategy
- Build and develop strong client relationships through consistent engagement and structured account planning
- Drive pricing strategy and commercial decision making alongside management
- Provide strategic oversight of revenue management ensuring strong pricing clear value new initiatives and maximum revenue delivery
- Own performance marketing across OTA and GDS channels including campaign and content direction
- Represent the hotel at industry events trade shows client meetings and show rounds to strengthen visibility
- Ensure timely and professional handling of enquiries proposals contracts and follow-up
- Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns that drive demand and brand awareness
- Contribute to digital and social media activity to support sales initiatives
- Support fam trips client events and hosting opportunities to promote the hotel
- Lead motivate and develop the sales team fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Support the team by providing holiday cover ensuring smooth operations and uninterrupted client relationships
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and ongoing development of team capabilities
- Conduct regular sales meetings coaching sessions and performance reviews
- Lead RFP and RFI processes ensuring timely and competitive submissions
- Manage corporate contracts including negotiation rate loading and annual recontracting
- Maintain structured account development with clear action plans KPIs and regular client engagement
- Deliver against account growth targets and client engagement objectives
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth delivery of group and event business
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and share insights with management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- High degree of organization and advanced planning & follow-up skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse subsets of individuals cultures and seniority levels
- Capacity to establish relationships and create conditions necessary for mutually co-operative efforts

Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year experience in hotel active sales experience
- People management experience
