Job Summary

The Executive Director Architecture defines and drives the enterprise architecture strategy and technical roadmap for Ergomed ensuring the Microsoft-standardized stack is fully leveraged. The role leads the transition from legacy systems to a modern AI-enabled ecosystem embedding advanced technologies across highly regulated business processes.

Acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership the role ensures alignment between business goals and technology while establishing scalable secure and compliant architecture foundations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and maintain the Target State Enterprise Architecture that enables seamless integration of Agentic Generative AI Machine Learning (ML) and LLMs across all business units.
  • Develop architectural blueprints that bridge the gap between legacy systems SaaS systems and modern AI-ready cloud environments.
  • Partner with the Head of Data to ensure the data architecture provides the high-quality low-latency fuel required for AI models s ensuring models are scalable secure and cost-effective.
  • Establish and lead an Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure consistency across Data Application and Infrastructure layers
  • Define North Star architectures for PV & CRO Mature data governance to align with the enterprise architecture
  • Ensure all architectural designs adhere to global regulations including GCP (Good Clinical Practice) 21CFR Part 11 and GDPR.
  • Standardize data exchange protocols using FHIR CDISC and HL7 to ensure seamless interoperability with sponsors and healthcare providers.
  • Partner with the CISO to bake Security by Design into every layer of the tech stack.
  • Act as a technical consultant to executive leadership on emerging trends like blockchain in clinical trial or Quantum computings impact on drug discovery.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in life sciences pharmacy nursing public health computer science or related field required
  • Advanced degree (PharmD MD MS MBA) preferred
  • Training or certification in product management agile methodologies or project management is advantageous
