Senior Project Manager – Public Sector Digitalisation
Job Summary
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead medium- to large-scale digitalisation projects for public sector clients. You will own end-to-end delivery manage complex stakeholder environments and contribute to business growth through client relationship development and presales activities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of digital/IT transformation projects (500K10M)
- Manage scope budget timeline quality risks and resources
- Apply methodologies such as PRINCE2 PMP Agile/Scrum or SAFe
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors
- Report to executive stakeholders and lead governance bodies
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Build and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Navigate complex public sector governance structures
- Handle escalations risks and contract compliance
Sales & Account Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Contribute to public tenders proposals and negotiations
- Support account growth and pipeline forecasting
Risk Change & Quality
- Manage risks change requests and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations
Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
- Coach and develop team members
- Contribute to internal best practices and thought leadership
Qualifications :
Experience & Skills
- 8 years in project management (5 in public sector digitalisation)
- Proven delivery of 1M projects and teams of 10
- Strong knowledge of Belgian public sector (federal/regional)
- Certified in PRINCE2 and/or PMP; Agile experience preferred
- Experience with public tenders and procurement law
- Financial/project P&L management skills
- Languages Dutch and/or French (professional level) English (working proficiency)
- Client-focused and results-driven
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Structured proactive and solution-oriented
