This position will float within our Cedar Rapids region Primary Care clinics Express and Urgent Care clinics as well as Methwick Geriatric Clinic. This position will allow for coverage and patient access during vacations illnesses and leaves.

• Established team of 3 Advanced Practitioners
• Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in a variety of clinics
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff
• Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position including dedicated administrative time
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

• Full-Time position; 36 Patient contact hours weekly
• Exercises independent judgements in the assessment coordination management and evaluation of certain medical processes and procedures under the guidelines of the scope of practice and medical protocols.
• Coordinating care of patients with other specialties
• Specialty Skills: minor procedures (i.e.: skin excisions joint injections lacerations)
• Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills
• No inpatient call coverage - Hospitalist Program is fully utilized

• Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or PA
• Family Medicine experience desired; Ability to care for all ages
• Board certified
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States
