Plant Manager Description
Our client is looking for a Plant Manager to add to their team in Alpharetta GA. Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing production safety quality and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a high-impact succession-oriented role with the opportunity to grow into a General Manager position within 3 years. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader and change agent who can elevate safety culture implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles and drive measurable improvements in quality delivery and operational performance.
You will play a critical role in supporting the plants safety-first people-focused culture while building systems and KPIs to enable the team to identify measure and solve problems in real time. Plant Manager Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing operations including production planning staffing and equipment utilization
Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S
Champion a proactive safety-first culture with strong ownership of OSHA compliance OSHA 300 logs and recordable incident rate tracking and reduction
Manage KPIs to track performance across production quality safety delivery and waste reduction
Oversee preventative maintenance programs for equipment and facilities
Lead training performance management and disciplinary actions as needed
Serve as a visible floor-based leader who connects with employees and builds trust at all levels
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Plant Manager Qualifications
5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required
5 years of experience in millwork or wood-products manufacturing required
Experience with Lean Manufacturing 5S and continuous improvement methodologies required
Strong understanding of safety systems OSHA standards and incident rate mgmt. required
Experience creating and tracking KPIs required
