Job Summary
Job Title: Sterile Processing Associate II (SPD Technician II)
Location: New York NY 10003
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7.5-hour shifts 5 days/week (37.5 hrs) Flexible weekends & holidays required
Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced SPD Technician II to perform decontamination sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments while ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean disinfect and sterilize surgical instruments
- Assemble and inspect instrument trays (general & specialty)
- Operate sterilization equipment & perform quality checks
- Manage instrument tracking systems and documentation
- Prepare and deliver surgical case carts per OR schedules
- Maintain OSHA and infection control standards
- Assist with inventory stocking and distribution
Requirements
- CRCST Certification (Required)
- 2 years of sterile processing experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of sterilization instrumentation and infection control
- Ability to operate equipment and handle physical tasks
Preferred
- Experience with tracking systems (e.g. Horizon)
- MS Office skills
