Job Summary
Our client in Taylor MI is searching for a Weld Nut Operator for their facility. This is a 3rd shift position (11p-7a) Monday-Friday with possible overtime $16.45 per hour and is contract to hire.
The purpose of this job is to set up and operate resistance welding machines:
Essential Functions of Job:
The essential functions of the job include:
- Operating machinery and equipment as directed; processing parts (weld clean package and transport)
- Cleaning and other general shop tasks
- Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Skills required to carry out the essential functions include the ability to:
- Learn and master new skills; understand and follow directions and rules
- Safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment
- Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels
- Visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced
- Interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management
- Communicate effectively (written and oral) with other employees and management; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations decrease turnaround times streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels
Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: (includes but is not limited to)
- Resistance welders hand grinding tools forklift truck telephone and computer and related technology.
