As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Norfolk VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors contractors and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings gate areas parking areas perimeter zones and waterfront or terminal access points with attention to unusual activity and unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity verify credentials and/or visitor authorization and report policy violations suspicious behavior and security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Support restricted area control by following post orders directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed and helping to deter disruptions to daily operations through visible presence and routine patrol activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
