Job Summary

Support Role - Cobol PL/SQL VMS- DCL Linux scripting

Montreal QC - Hybrid

Contract 6 Months

We are looking for an experienced developer to support and maintain a core banking deposit system. If you have strong COBOL and scripting skills with a background in financial services wed love to hear from you.

What youll do

Support and troubleshoot nightly batch jobs on an on-call basis
Investigate and resolve technical incidents and processing anomalies
Handle user inquiries and perform data extractions
Prepare technical documents and maintain application documentation
Manage enhancements testing and change requests via Jira

What you bring

4 years of development and support experience
Strong COBOL programming skills
Strong PL/SQL and Oracle database skills
Linux scripting experience
OpenVMS / DCL scripting is an asset
Batch scheduling experience with Control-M or similar
Basic to intermediate SQL skills

Nice to have

Banking or financial services background
Knowledge of deposit account interest calculations
Familiarity with SWIFT statements
French language skills

Work setup

Hybrid with up to 2 days working from home after 3 months
