Job Summary

Detailed Job Description: Experienced Oracle DBA to ensure the reliability performance and security of mission-critical Oracle databases along with an AWS-focused DBA to manage and optimize Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift clusters with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.

Job Description:

1. Strong hands-on with Oracle 19c RAC Data Guard RMAN ASM OEM.

2. Expert-level performance tuning (SQL & instance) AWR/ASH analysis wait events.

3. Provision and manage RDS instances/clusters (instance classes storage autoscaling Multi-AZ parameter/subnet groups).

4. Govern backup/restore (automated backups snapshots) encryption (KMS) patching and minor/major version upgrades.

5. Implement monitoring/alerting via CloudWatch Performance Insights Enhanced Monitoring; tune connections/queries.

6. Cost management: right-sizing storage management Reserved/Compute Savings Plans advisory.

7. Design and operate Redshift clusters; configure WLM concurrency scaling queue management.

8. Optimize schema (distribution/sort keys) VACUUM/ANALYZE query tuning; workload isolation.

9. Build CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline/GitHub Actions) to deploy CDK apps; manage environments (dev/qa/uat/prod).

10. Implement high availability (Multi-AZ for RDS cross-region snapshots as needed).

Qualifications (Required):

1. 47 years as a Oracle DBA with 3 years on AWS data services.

2. Hands-on with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration.

3. Expertise in monitoring (CloudWatch Performance Insights) performance tuning and cost optimization.

4. At least one certification in Oracle (OCP) and one in AWS.

5. Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript or Python) CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
