About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a friendly and experienced Cafe Supervisor to open our brand new Collegecafe. Reporting to the Canteen Manager and working closely with the canteen team you will be responsible for the safe efficient and profitable day to day operation of the new College café. The role is hands on and highly autonomous with a focus on excellent coffee fast and friendly service quality food and a welcoming atmosphere for students staff and visitors.
The Café Supervisor reports to the Canteen Manager and alongside the canteen team supporting the strategic intent that the café will be a reliable revenue generator for the College while aligning with our Christ-centred values and student wellbeing priorities. The role may also support the student canteen as needed.
This is a permanent full-time position working in school term times only.
About You
- Demonstrated success running a café or kiosk with autonomy and sound judgement
- Strong barista capability with a passion for consistent quality at volume
- Commercial mindset with experience managing cost of goods pricing and waste reduction
- Competent with POS systems cash handling and simple performance reporting
- Excellent customer service communication and organisation in a busy school or community setting
- Ability to undertake the duties of the position in accordance with the Colleges Purpose Values and Code of Conduct
- NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Collegiate and a good team player
- Actively support the Colleges Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regularpracticing member of a Christian church
