Job Summary
Within the Technical Direction Team you will develop the automation control and instrumentation engineering processes necessary for the plants maintain the documentation and programming of existing ones and provide support for ongoing projects.
Provide technical support for the manufacturing phase and to clients as needed.
Modify and update the electrical and control system design to adapt to specific projects.
Update electrical schematics and documentation for electrical panel fabrication.
Propose instrumentation recommendations (electrical components of instrumentation) and understand the wiring.
Program PLCs and HMIs to meet process requirements or project changes.
Provide commissioning support (locally in the workshop for Factory Acceptance Testing and occasionally on-site) and occasionally perform the full Factory Acceptance Testing.
Update electrical and control-related documentation.
Diagnosticate and analyze malfunctions in installations and/or equipment.
Qualifications :
Educational background: Electrical Automation Engineering Degree or similar.
Language: The candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish (is Mandatory)
More than 5 years experience in a similar position
Specific knowledge and experience: required in control panels design and Electrical systems. ePlan is a plus.
Experience in control and instrumentation packages Simatic Manager WinCCFlexible TIA Portal RSLogix5000 would be a plus
Industrial Networks: Profibus Profinet Modbus RTU Modbus TCP/IP.
Good communication skills will be required
A logical approach to problem solving
An ability to document work accurately is required
Security and confidentiality is a vital part of development work and the position is subject to the signing of a confidentiality agreement
Good IT culture (comfortable with different OS environments basic network knowledge and basic hardware knowledge)
