About the Unit

The Ophthalmology unit treats and care for eye disease related to diabetes patients with cataracts infection and inflammation traumatic disease immunological disorders and transplantation oculomotility disorders age-related macular degeneration corneal transplantation and keratoconus management. The ophthalmology unit has an active research arm and is heavily involved in medical student and optometry and orthoptic teaching.

About the Position

Applications are invited for the positions of Specialist in Ophthalmology (Fractional) commencing as soon as possible with the below positions available:

1. General/oculoplastics fractional ophthalmologist working 4.5 hours per week.
2. Medical retina/uveitis fractional ophthalmologist working 2hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Ophthalmology is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Ophthalmology.
