Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a high-priority outpatient role at a Kaiser facility in Portland OR.
This position requires a strong background in outpatient therapy and orthopedic-related cases working with diverse patient populations in a structured clinical environment.
Facility & Work Setting
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic
- Facility Type: Kaiser Permanente (Critical Need)
- Schedule: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Key Responsibilities
Evaluation & Diagnosis
- Conduct speech language and swallowing evaluations
- Assess cognitive-communication disorders
- Develop treatment plans based on clinical findings
Therapy & Treatment
- Provide individualized therapy for:
- Speech and language disorders
- Cognitive communication deficits
- Swallowing disorders (if applicable)
- Apply evidence-based treatment techniques
Care Planning & Monitoring
- Track patient progress and adjust interventions
- Set functional measurable goals
Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians and rehab team
- Educate patients and caregivers
Documentation
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Follow Kaiser protocols and EMR standards
Schedule & Work Details

Requirements
Must Have
Active Oregon SLP License
BLS Certification
Minimum 3 years Outpatient Experience
Strong orthopedic outpatient experience
Preferred
Prior Kaiser experience
Travel experience
Strong interdisciplinary communication
