Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Point Attendant in Northampton PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control verify credentials monitor entry activity and support a professional visitor experience. This role combines customer-focused communication with important security-related responsibilities helping to discourage unauthorized access while working as part of a team that values agility reliability innovation care and integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors drivers and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures checking credentials and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
- Monitor access points gates and/or lobbies to help to deter unauthorized entry verify deliveries and shipments and report irregular activity involving people vehicles and/or property.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility loading areas parking areas and perimeter noting unusual conditions and communicating security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Support daily operations at a logistics and distribution location by maintaining accurate logs completing required reports and communicating clearly with personnel visitors and/or transportation partners.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
