Job Summary

Role Overview:
As Maths Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching materials monitor student progress and implement effective strategies to support learning. Your role will involve promoting a positive learning environment where students feel confident in developing their mathematical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Teach a range of mathematical topics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential involvement at Key Stage 5.
Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to reporting processes.
Use a range of teaching strategies to support students of varying abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Participate in parents evenings staff meetings and school-wide activities.
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Degree in mathematics or a closely related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the mathematics curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to inspire confidence and interest in mathematics among students.
Strong communication skills and commitment to professional development.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
