A high-performing academy in Lincoln is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join its successful science faculty from September. The Role in Practice
In this role you will be responsible for delivering physics lessons that are both challenging and accessible. Teaching will take place across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 physics depending on subject experience.
You will design lessons that incorporate demonstrations experiments and structured theoretical teaching. Students are encouraged to explore scientific ideas through practical investigation and teachers are supported with well-maintained laboratory facilities and technical assistance.
You will also play a key role in supporting revision examination preparation and student confidence in tackling complex mathematical and scientific problems.
Teaching and Departmental Contribution
Your work within the science faculty will include:
Planning and delivering structured physics lessons that build knowledge progressively
Supporting students in understanding core physics principles such as forces energy waves and electricity
Conducting safe and engaging practical experiments
Assessing student progress through marking testing and feedback
Supporting examination preparation and coursework where required
Collaborating with science colleagues to develop shared teaching resources
Maintaining laboratory safety procedures and ensuring correct use of equipment
Supporting intervention sessions for students requiring additional support
Professional Expectations

Applicants should demonstrate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline
Experience teaching Physics within a secondary school environment
