Are you a compassionate and dedicated nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in childrens lives We are working with a well-established and nurturing SEN school in Barking that is seeking a full-time School Nurse to join their supportive team.
About the Role:
As the School Nurse you will play a key role in promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of students with a range of special educational needs. You will provide high-quality healthcare support manage care plans administer medication and act as a vital point of contact for staff parents and external healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer first aid and manage medical emergencies
Support pupils with complex medical needs and disabilities
Maintain and update individual healthcare plans
Liaise with families GPs and external health services
Promote health education and wellbeing across the school
Ensure all health and safety policies are followed
Requirements:
Qualified RGN or RSCN with current NMC registration
Previous experience working with children or in a school/SEN setting is highly desirable
Strong communication organisation and interpersonal skills
