Job Description
As a Security Officer Mall Center in Newport Beach CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer service and this people-first role you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork integrity and a reliable agile approach while assisting shoppers guests and staff throughout the property.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants shoppers and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or urgent situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner and document relevant activity in accordance with site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shopping center common areas parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances storefront corridors and/or high-traffic public areas while assisting with access-related concerns directions and general support for guests and staff.
- Support retail location operations by reporting maintenance concerns policy violations and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
