Description
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier you will be the first point of contact for customers ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner.
- Operate cash registers and process various payment methods including cash credit/debit cards and mobile payments.
- Ensure accuracy in handling cash and making change during transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to provide a pleasant shopping environment.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally escalating when necessary.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed during downtime.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus but not required.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
