Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Sulphur LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor entry points verify credentials conduct routine patrols and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures verifying credentials monitoring entry and exit activity and/or directing visitors contractors and deliveries in accordance with location protocols.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
- Monitor gates badging points and restricted areas to help support authorized access report irregularities and/or follow established escalation procedures for denied entry or suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter observing for unusual conditions unsecured access points and other security-related concerns within an industrial chemical and petrochemical environment.
- Complete required logs reports and shift communications and/or assist with traffic flow vehicle screening and contractor check-in processes in alignment with site policies and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
