About the role
The Associate Merchandiser assists the Merchandiser with merchandise strategy and product assortments that enable the achievement of financial plan. Works in collaboration with all cross functional partners to deliver departmental plans.
The impact you can have
Support in developing a line that represents the brand by doing competitive intelligence customer intimacy and business analysis.
Manage a subset of the lifestyle category to begin broadening scope of responsibility
Collect industry/ consumer/ competitor trend information. Report on and integrates findings into the development of the strategic vision and the future selection of product.
Works with Planning and Allocation on promotional cadence flow order color/size buys minimum /maximum quantities etc. Understands and applies retail metrics
In season react to current business trends; ensures the integration of fashion newness develops upside strategies recognizes product evolution and potential voids; prepares contingency plans to drive sales and profit objectives.
Work cross functionally with planning product development and design to ensure the flow of the vertical process in maintained.
Support sample ordering tracking management organization and pass off
Responsible for hind-sighting product performance.
Youll bring to the role
3-5 years of experience in a merchandising related position for a fashion retailer.
Bachelors degree in fashion merchandising retail management or business related field preferred.
Proficient in Word Excel and Power Point and Outlook
Ability to build and sustain relationships quickly.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
