Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full-Time

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services by assisting in the delivery of individualized therapy plans. This role focuses on improving residents mobility strength and overall functional independence while ensuring a safe and supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises to improve mobility strength balance and coordination
- Support residents with gait training transfers and use of assistive devices (e.g. walkers canes)
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Accurately document treatments progress notes and patient outcomes
- Promote functional independence in daily activities
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions and follow infection control protocols
- Educate residents and caregivers on prescribed exercise programs and mobility techniques
- Assist with positioning range-of-motion exercises and pain management techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nursing and rehab staff
- Adhere to all facility policies and state/federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Active PTA license in the state of New Hampshire
- Current CPR/BLS certification (as required by facility or state)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
