What is the role
The person in this role is responsible for testing new concepts in pulmonary drug delivery with a focus on aerosol generating technologies. The role will also support the execution of projects by delivering high-quality experimental testing data analysis and scientific reporting in line with regulatory and stakeholder requirements.

What are the key responsibilities
Aerosol Characterisation Testing: Independently perform device performance testing including particle size characterisation (e.g. cascade impaction) delivered dose measurement and output rate testing on a range of formulations using established and novel protocols.
Design Verification Testing: Execute aerosol performance testing for design changes and new product development.
Technical Documentation: Draft and author task orders test reports technical summaries and test instructions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Regulatory Quality Supply Chain Legal) to ensure project execution.
Lab Management & GLP Practices: Support the labs compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) including calibration equipment maintenance waste management and chemical risk assessments.
Training: Assist in onboarding interns and graduate scientists in testingprocedures documentation and safety protocols.
Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned by your manager.

What education and experience are required
BSc in relevant discipline.
Minimum 1 - 3 years experience in pharmaceutical/medical device laboratory.

What key skills will make you great at the role
Demonstrated expertise in aerosol characterisation methods (e.g. NGI laser diffraction output rate testing) would be a distinct advantage.
Experience working with analytical instrumentation such as UV spectroscopy.
Understanding of pharmaceutical or medical device laboratory environments and regulatory requirements.
Strong verbal and written skills for collaborating with and presenting scientific results to internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to interpret complex data and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Knowledge of statistical methods including hypothesis testing and design of experiments with experience using software such as GraphPad Prism.
Experience using electronic lab notebooks or laboratory data management systems.
Team player with a collaborative & solution focused mindset and strong organisational skills.
