The job: Snr Designer - Branding & Packaging

1HQ is looking for a Conceptual Snr. Branding and Packaging Designer who can transform sharp strategic thinking into bold beautiful ideas that demand attention

Someone who thrives on big thinking loves the craft of design and brings energy imagination and ambition to every brief.

At 1HQ youll work on some of the worlds most recognizable brands collaborating with an inspiring team of designers strategists and creatives in our London studio.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ideadriven creative with clarity first then difference translating strategic thinking into bold distinctive brand and packaging solutions.
• Set and own the creative vision shaping concepts and strategies from brief to delivery and driving them through every stage of the process.
• Partner closely with Strategy and Client Services to help define brand positioning and ensure work is both creatively ambitious and commercially effective.
• Inspire and elevate the team mentoring junior and midweight designers raising standards and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Present ideas with confidence and conviction clearly articulating strategic intent and creative value to clients and internal teams.
• Act as a brand guardian protecting clarity consistency and creative impact across all touchpoints.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION - Our ideal candidate will have:

• 5-7 years experiencein branding and packaging design with a strong portfolio of global brand work.
• Experience leading developing and mentoring a team (pref).
• A highly conceptual thinkerwith the ability to turn strategy into standout creative ideas.
• An exceptional eye for typography layout and visual storytelling.
• Experience in brand world creation or a strong ambition to develop this skill under creative direction.
• Confidence working both independently and collaboratively contributing positively to team culture and creative ambition.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to balance great design while meeting deadlines
• Confidently in presenting work to both internal teams and external clients.
• Work face to face in the studio at a minimum of 2 days a week is required!
