We have an opportunity for aBusiness Development & Marketing Manager to join our nationalBusiness Development Marketing & Communications team based inPerth.
This role is responsible fordriving the BD marketing and comms strategy for the Perth marketas well as the national commercial teams. This includes workingwith partners proactively driving initiatives as well as reactingto opportunities as they arise.
This role has a dedicatedfocus on increasing brand awareness and profile in the Perth marketand will also be allocated standalone national commercialportfolios dependent on the successful candidates expertiseexperience and skillset.
This role may require travelto other offices across Australia from time to time.
You will be responsiblefor:
- advising and supporting the relevant Commercial sections national partners and senior lawyers on strategic firm and personal brand promotion business development marketing and practice development strategies and action outcomes - in line with firm and Section plans;
- advising and supporting the Perth OPIC on strategic firm brand promotion business development and marketing;
- working with Perth partners and senior lawyers on personal brand and practice development strategies;
- identifying business development opportunities for the Perth markets;
- advising and supporting initiatives for key Commercial clients;
- working with the Bids & Pursuits team on firm and commercial tender submissions;
- leading a range of other opportunistic bids such as proposals and capability statements;
- directory and award submissions;
- working with the Communications team to identify and action external profiling opportunities;
- leading relevant business and industry association relationships including sponsorships; and
- working with the Events team on client sector and national firm events.
Aboutyou
You will ideally have thefollowing skills and experience:
- 7 years of experience gained in a marketing and/or business development position (professional services ideally);
- relevant tertiary qualification;
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
- ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with key firm stakeholders;
- strong influencing and negotiation skills;
- proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word Excel and PowerPoint;
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels;
- excellent written and communication skills;
- strong attention to detail;
- ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines;
- team player; and
- proactive and strong problem-solving abilities.
