As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic educational location where you will conduct routine patrols remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns and deliver exceptional customer service and this people-first role you will support students staff and visitors while bringing agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity to every shift.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an educational setting.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate relevant details to supervisors campus contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings walkways parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points observe campus activity and report suspicious behavior hazards and/or policy violations according to site instructions and Allied Universal protocols.
• Support daily operations at the location by documenting incidents providing directions and assistance and helping occupants and visitors during routine activities and/or unexpected events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
