Job Summary

About the Positions

Wereseeking Design Engineering Technical Leadsto support large heavy-civil infrastructure programs in highways roads and bridges transit (including rail systems) aviation (international airports) and water sectors delivered through both traditional and alternative methods. Theserolessupportmultidisciplinary design delivery across complex transportation programs with a focus on technical coordination quality oversight and integration of engineering work.

Responsibilitiesmay include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across large complex transportation and transit projects working closely with discipline leads and design management teams.
  • Provide technical input and oversight for design development to ensure compliance with project requirements applicable codes and agency standards.
  • Prepare review and coordinate engineering plans specifications calculations and technical reports for major infrastructure programs.
  • Coordinate design interfaces across multiple disciplines contracts and delivery packages to support integrated program delivery.
  • Support and apply design workflows quality control procedures and document management processes across large multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Collaborate with project management construction teams and client stakeholders to support resolution of complex technical and constructability issues.
  • Identify design risks and support mitigation strategies related to constructability staging phasing and technical constraints on large-scale programs.
  • Support compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks agency standards and permitting requirements.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineering staff working on complex infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with project controls teams (cost schedule risk) to support alignment between design development and program delivery requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering(civil electrical orrelated disciplines) orequivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting design delivery on large multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with multiple stakeholders and interfaces.
  • Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines and supporting integrated design efforts in complex project environments.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements governing transportation and transit infrastructure in California.
  • Experience working in client-facing or project delivery environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g. Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California.
  • Experience supporting rail or transit infrastructure programs including systems facilities or stations.
  • Experience working in DB CMGC or other alternative delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting major capital programs in California (e.g. statewide transportation or transit initiatives).
  • Familiarity with design management tools document control systems and interdisciplinary coordination platforms used on large infrastructure programs.

Compensation Details

Expected Salary: $120k-$190k/year ($57-$91/hour). Lusterprovidesthe salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidates level of experience knowledge skills abilities education certifications licenses geographic location etc. Luster reserves the right toultimately paymore or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local state and/or federal law.
