What You Will Do

Are you a read the instructions kind of person Do you enjoy putting together puzzles and using your hands Our assembler position will allow you to apply both traits while impacting the future of flight. You will be responsible for a key role in our process and ensure EH&S and quality standards are kept. Responsibilities would be in one or more of the following areas: sub-assembly balancing main assembly and packing of engines in the repair and overhaul area.

This position services our PW800 line which is the newest engine model in our facility. You will work on our 2nd shift which is Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-1:30am. Training will take place on a day shift for up to 6 months before moving into 2nd shift.

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAAs regulation 14 CFR part 120 as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Key Responsibilities

Work from manuals service bulletins and other technical instructions.
Use various hand tools precision measuring equipment special tooling and gauges.
Coordinate parts consumables and non-product material movements.
Function as an Assembly tech to ensure standard work and standard methodologies are accomplished while assuring daily targets are met.
Be fully engaged to support all Continuous Improvement Quality EH&S and overall Operations initiatives and policies to meet company goals.
Perform other related duties as assigned and refer team challenges to Supervisor.

Qualifications You Must Have

Active Powerplant license at the time of hire
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Qualifications We Prefer

3 years specialized training in aviation maintenance assembly or test of gas turbine engines or similar aircraft systems.
Prior experience working on P&W engines.
Knowledge of aircraft engine assembly procedures including fits and tolerances use of precision measuring instruments and gauges hand tools special assembly equipment and the ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines
