Job Summary
3rd shift Receiving Lead
Full-time Logistics Location Olathe KS 66022
The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing daily Receiving operations ensuring efficient accurate and safe handling of products from receiving through put away. This role supports team productivity maintains operational standards and provides leadership training and guidance to warehouse team members. The Receiving Lead works closely with management to improve processes maintain safety standards and ensure all Inbound shipments meet company expectations.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Youll deliver short and long term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:
Team Leadership
Lead coach and develop receiving team members through training feedback and daily guidance.
Foster a positive team-oriented work environment that promotes safety accountability and productivity.
Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics discuss challenges and implement solutions.
Train and certify team members on material handling equipment as needed.
Operational Oversight
Oversee receiving processes including unloading verifying product and quantity and ensuring correct slotting.
Ensure all receiving operations meet established productivity quality and accuracy standards.
Monitor employee productivity and workflow to maintain operational efficiency.
Assist in developing updating and maintaining departmental work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment.
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
Support and enforce company policies safety procedures and management recommendations.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in operational development and problem-solving meetings.
Identify opportunities to improve processes workflow and team performance.
Assist with implementing operational improvements and corrective actions.
Additional Duties
Occasionally perform warehouse crew member duties to support operational needs.
Work evenings weekends or extended hours as required to support business operations.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse logistics or distribution center experience preferred.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks or similar equipment.
Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk bend and lift for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move products according to warehouse requirements.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
