Essential Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of the engine testing maintenance inspection and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with Standard Work appropriate technical references Repair Station Manuals and GE policies and procedures.
Partner with cross-functional teams including EHS quality engineering planning and materials to support operational initiatives achieve strategic business objectives and support constant improvement site-wide.
Understand and strictly adhere to appropriate technical references such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals Engine Shop Manuals Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs etc.
Act in accordance with GEs FLIGHT DECK fundamentals & behaviors the sites Repair Station and Quality Control Manual Training Manual Test Cell Facility Operations Manual and other applicable regulatory agency requirements.
Document all work performed and book time using the sites ERP software.
Perform supplementary shop and housekeeping duties as a part of the sites 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.
Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast-paced production environment in a safe effective and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications
Active Military personnel on their last 180 days of Military service
Minimum high school diploma / GED with 4-5 years of aircraft engine testing experience.
FAA Powerplant License or FAA form 2610-2 and ability to obtain Powerplant License before start of SkillBridge.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience as a Test Throttle operator.
Experience as a Engine Test Site Operator.
Mechanical experience.
