Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Full Time Murfreesboro TN
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team in Murfreesboro Tennessee. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility manage pain and restore function through individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as outlined in the patients plan of care
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises gait training functional mobility and balance activities
- Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises safety and mobility techniques
- Document daily treatment notes accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient outcomes
- Adhere to all state federal and facility guidelines and regulations
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Tennessee
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and patient care principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following physical therapist directives
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role including assisting patients with movement and transfers
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in outpatient inpatient skilled nursing home health or rehabilitation settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
