Ergon Marine & Industrial Supply Inc. has an opening for a Grocery Supervisor at its Vicksburg location.

The Grocery Supervisor position monitors day to day operations of the grocery office ordering and maintaining inventory. Helps answer phones transfer orders and work closely with customers for excellent support. Must work closely and communicate with Grocery Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist management in effective cost reductions of daily operations
- Support management in establishing and enforcing EMIS corporate policy
- Establish and maintain a solid customer base for sales of marine services: fleeting fuel groceries and marine supplies
- Maintain communication with customers and helping with any problems
- Transfer incoming grocery orders and double check orders transferred by other Grocery Department personnel
- Ensure an Order Accuracy Form is began and completed for each order
- Responsible for ordering purchasing and protecting the integrity of all grocery supplies and products employing cost effective management in a manner that complies with company policies and procedures
- Monitor inventory control of the Grocery Department
- Assist grocery in warehouse as needed
- Assist with truck deliveries and verifying product with vendor invoice reporting any discrepancies for correct inventory updating
- Monitor EMIS Price List for any needed price changes
- Assist with cycle counts end of month and end of year inventory procedures
- Notify Port Engineer of any problems with the forklift company vehicle or building and grounds needs
- Monitor Lost and Damaged items.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years experience in Grocery trade stock ordering and inventory control
- Valid Drivers License
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Data entry experience for ordering inventory
- Previous Supervisory experience
Must be able to work the following shift: Monday - Friday 6am to 6pm weekends as needed
