Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Virginia Beach VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed driving patrol this role you will monitor and patrol assigned areas stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents and support access control activities while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points verify credentials and support controlled entry procedures for restricted areas in accordance with site protocols and assigned post orders.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings while operating in varied indoor and outdoor environments reporting hazards maintenance concerns and/or security-related issues through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
