Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking Welder/Fabricators in Aiken SC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints to craft and fabricate tire manufacturing equipment and components
  • Repair equipment as needed; replace faulty equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty equipment and components
  • Weld using mig tig or stick
  • Operate lifts and cranes to install equipment and components

Experience:

2 years experience welding/fabricating is required. 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred. Technical training preferred but not required. Pipe fitting experience preferred.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters
  • Read and interpret blueprints mechanical drawings
  • Valid drivers license
  • Proficient in GTAW/GMAW/FCAW and acetylene welding
  • Basic set of hand tools is required
  • Ability to proficiently operate power tools used for metal fabrication
  • Ability to work at heights and manipulate tools in small spaces
  • Interpersonal skills such as oral verbal and written communication and reasoning is required.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
